A fun kit to assemble, instructions OK.Similar kits available without the case and much cheaper, which may be a better choice if your intending to use it as a frequency counter in a larger project.Instructions do not explain the function of the big yellow button, but gather this opens functions for setting and clearing frequency offsets (not something I need to use yet).Got this to test Crystal oscillators and works fine, though not with 32,768 KHz crystals mislabelled MHz in the kit I purchased.

bought and built this then did a dumb thing and tried to measure a frequency that was too high a voltage and damaged the chip. When I requested buying a pre-programmed chip, he responded by sending another unit. That is what I call great customer service.

The frequency tester did not work from the start. Displayed 0 as required with no input, but displayed five random numbers for all other inputs. DO NOT BUY __ JUNK
