Works like a PWM should and handles at least 15A. Used to slow down a Walbro gsl392 inline fuel pump to easily handle my application fuel demand without the constant whine.Note the top come off towards the screws to mount the dial and switch on the opposite side.

Used this for speed control of my Fiskars Electric Mower Conversion, its been running about 40v @ 10A or so for 30-45 minutes at a time, every 2 to 3 days for the whole season and still works great. It has a nice clean look, plus cooling fan. If this failed, I would replace it with the same one.

Whilst I bought his thinking it would be a easy install, it was anything but, I had to rewire numerous times to get it to work, and then find out that it resests when it loses power. I put this on my kayak trolling motor, and use a foot pedal to cut power on/off. It burnt up during testing, and I will not buy another. Thought the value was gonna be jam up, but I got the "you get what you pay for".

The controller will not decrease voltage but manipulate current in order to control speed, which is same as all other controller. If you need step down board, you can search "step down dc board". Anyway it works well. The only downside is the fan keeping working, even without load which is pretty annoying and depleting battery.
