Not getting any younger and getting up from the floor can be challenging. I got this step ladder because I needed something to sit on for close to the ground projects. The step handle is an asset, giving a firm handhold to help push myself up from a seated position. This model was the only one I could find that was wide enough to allow sitting. The downside is the cost. I found others out there with very good build quality at half the price, but they weren’t wide enough to sit on. I use it more often than I thought I would, both as a single step ladder and a low stool. Another plus is it folds. I can store it between my washer and the wall, an unused space. If you are using it often, probably worth the cost.

I have one of these that’s at least 20 yrs old. I was looking for a step stool so my 5 yr old grandchild could help in her kitchen at home and looked at a few similar to this for much cheaper price. I saw them in stores, looked at them, and each one had the handle/bar going across the top (mid way over the step) in such a way that one’s legs would be hitting that bar. The step platform was smaller and closer to the ground. They were like a cheap wanna-be of mine at home. So I decided to get this more expensive one like mine. Well worth every penny! My family loves it, use it every day.

This is really the second ladder/step stool that I have bought that is of this design. My first one I have had for many years now and I love it so much that when I needed to buy another. I chose this one as the design is the same. I have not been disappointed. I use it not only as a step stool but you can turn it around and sit on it to grab, wash or fix things that are down low. It is great for baseboards and getting stuff on bottom shelves in the kitchen.

This step ladder really holds up to my heavy weight, no problem. 250 lbs. without blinking an eye. Convenient too. The only drawback is that it is kind of heavy to carry around. Can't have it both ways, I guess. I use it all the time with complete confidence. Worth the money, for sure.

Simple: This one-step stool is of very basic, yet highly functional design. Easy to open. (Hold it upright with the legs on the floor and push the upper edge of the step until fully open. When you lower the back legs to the floor, the gravity latch secures it in the open position.)Strong: The item description says it’s made of iron. And, it feels as strong as iron. But it’s not huge, weighing only 6 pounds - I think you can handle it. The step is metal with a slip-resistant pad covering the entire surface. The pad is attached with 30 plastic “rivets”, not just a glued on sheet which is destined for failure. In my opinion, this thing is built to last, which justifies the somewhat higher price compared to “similar” products.Safe: The aforementioned slip-resistant pad is a nice feature. The size of the step is a very generous (and very safe) 15 inches from side to side and 10.25 inches from front to back. By the way, the height of the step is exactly 9 inches. The four points that contact the floor are heavily rubberized and angled for excellent stability and safety. The handle doesn’t come up too far from the step, which is actually a good thing, as it isn’t in any way an obstruction when stepping onto the stool.I have owned and I have purchased and returned similar items, and this is the best one I’ve ever tried. I could say that I highly recommend it, but you probably already figured that out.

It folds up nice to go into the bottom cupboard, it’s sturdy and we really like the lock feature.

I got this for my sister so she could get rid of her flimsy stool and be more well supported when things are beyond reach. Any live alone person should have one of these stools around. Wide and deep enough step to keep both feet firmly and comfortably planted to provide stability and a sense of security.
