This thing should be fantastic, but my unit has a few defects. One is that the set screw for the center shaft doesn't seem to want to bite enough on the shaft. This causes the conical cutter to drop off as you lower the drill hand to let gravity do it's thing. The other defect is in the size of the cutting inserts. They seem to be adjustable, but they are just a bit too small and make the cutting time longer than necessary. With them extended as much as possible, I find myself moving the drill to different angles and adding unnecessary amounts of pressure to get the bevel I want. Useful tool, but there might be a better option out there.

This is a chamfer and deburring tool. When I cut ABS and PVC pipe, usually with a multitool or reciprocal saw, it melts the plastic so the edges are uneven and have loose bits of melted plastic. I usually use an utility knife to deburr it, which is very important to get a perfect seal with you attach pieces together, but this is time consuming. Chamfering is also important because if the edge is straight, when you push pieces together, the straight edge will push away the sealant, so you won’t have much sealant between the pieces. This tool worked easily with my drill. I like that it’s easy to use with different sizes of pipe. Usually the largest household pipe is three inches, so this is good enough for almost all DIY situations. However, some toilets require four inch pipe, so this would be too small.

So far so good. This tool works very well for reaming out the inner and outer burrs after cutting PVC or abs. For ABS, I usually use a blade style pipe cutter and don't end up with any burrs, but when cutting PVC I cut with a sawzall and a PVC blade and there are always burrs. This makes quick work of them whether inner or outer. It is also useful for sliding the pipe a bit further into the fitting, as there is a 30° bevel inside of a PVC coupling from factory.

Not bad! Works well both in and out, and it’s easy to take just a tiny cut. Zip, zip! Best for bigger pipes, IMO fumbling with it for ¾ ID is not worth the trouble. Needs a square cut in the first place. The three blades are substantial, and each one cuts on both sides. They’re removable but I don’t imagine needing to as long as you don’t try it on iron. Good thing, because adjusting the outer and inner cutters simultaneously, with three set nuts each, seems unlikely to succeed. I doubt they can be sharpened, because they wear from both sides, but perhaps could be replaced.A couple of related issues. First, I can’t fathom why they would choose a different-sized set nut for the shaft (1) and the cutters (9). The shaft nut is microscopic, but the shaft is just long enough that it works both ways after you set it once (except it won’t fit back in the box that way). But why do I want to keep track of two different allen keys? ONE is already a pain. The cutter team needs to talk to the shaft team and PICK ONE, or use a threaded removable arbor like a hole cutter. The second problem is also practical. The box is ok for shipping, but not adequate for ongoing use to job sites or kicking around in a tool box. This is a big heavy bit, with exposed cutters. Not dangerous, but will be damaged (outside and in) by tool handles, etc. It needs a sleeve.

I ordered the 2 in 1 Inner-Outer PVC Deburring Tool, PVC Chamfer Tool, because lately I have been doing some plumbing around the house, and I thought this would be a great tool to help with my jobs, rather than using sandpaper. I must say I am quite impressed with this tool, it is fairly heavy, and the quality seems exceptional. It comes with a hex wrench so you can switch the tool around allowing you to do the outside and inside of the pipes. It works very well and takes a second to clean the pipe, which may save me some time in the long run. I have never owned a tool like this before so I really cannot compare it to anything else, but for what I will be using it for it is a great tool. I would even think this would be "pro" quality as I could not see how it could be any better. It does exactly what it meant to do and does it very well, and the quality tells me it will last for longer than I'll ever need one. Great tool for anyone who does plumbing and wants to make life a bit easier when prepping the pipes.

This product is well made, but unfortunately it's difficult to hold steady enough to make an even chamfer around the entire rim of a 3" PVC pipe. One side always winds up more chamfered than the other. So, the chamfering is uneven no matter how hard I hold the drill vertical and steady. Plus, the recessed blades clog up almost immediately, which reduces it's effectiveness and it occasionally grabs a large piece of the PVC and pulls it off.

Reputed my pool and this worked well. Didn’t use a drill, just used it by hand

My first reamer did not work as desired. As a Mechanical Engineer, with many years in the field working with machinery, I understand the fundamentals of tools. I notified the vendor through Amazon and made some redesign suggestions. They immediately acknowledged my issue, made improvements to their design, and sent me an improved tool at no extra charge within days of my notice. This second tool works so much better and has saved me hours of time reaming large ABS pipes. I expect they will incorporate the balance of my suggestions as production permits. If I needed a second reamer I would certainly order it from them.

Used this to chamfer 3” pvc pipe. So much easier and it turns out better than doing it by hand. You can have the outside and inside done in about a minute. Highly recommended if you’re doing more than one piece of pipe, well worth the (great) price. And the blades are resharpenable. And mine was delivered less than two days after I ordered it.

I’ve used this on dozens of pieces of pvc conduit and it works pretty well, but- no matter how tight I tighten the set screw after a few uses, I need to retighten. After bending the Allen wrench trying to get it tight enough to stay in place the eighth time, it developed a notch and seems to be holding in place finally. Not sure why they even use a set screw and independent shaft (arbor). Seems like an easy design to fix.
