At first I didn't even think it was metal with how light these are. I haven't bought any lamp oil yet to try these out so I'm not sure how well they work yet. Definitely disappointed in the build quality so far.

These are OK lanterns at an unbelievable price. They are nowhere near the quality of a Dietz. These ones are made of fairly thin and soft metal which means the parts are happy to bend. For example, I had to take the burner out so I could recover the wick. The tabs that hold the burner in place got flattened in the process and had to be bent back out for reassembly. As for that wick, here's the story.I tested the lamps by adding lamp oil to one and letting it sit for a day on a piece of cardboard. It didn't leak, so I drained the lamp oil into the other. It didn't leak either. So I moved the lamp and cardboard into the sink (in case of leakage, fire, etc.) and lit the lamp. It wasn't the most clean burning, but I figured it was mostly the wick's fault. The wick burned down to the burner when the oil ran out. It was pretty impossible to get the wick up from the burner without disassembly. That's when I noticed that the lamp came with a very short length of wick. I had filled the lantern to its capacity with lamp oil and burned it all. The glass was still clean and clear afterward.Well then - it's an OK lamp and is functional. However, the Dietz is much more strongly built and I never had probems with the wick like I did with the DNRVK. Over all, if I wanted a lantern I could trust I'd get a Dietz.

Not made as sturdy as I would like kind of flip a little more decorative than useful I love the brass color and the style however in an emergency or camping it’s just too decorative and lightweight to use also impossible to change Wick
