My brother and his wife are coffee connoisseurs and prefer the pour-over method. Since my coffee has been leaving something to be desired lately, I decided to try the pour-over method also. (I've owned pour-overs in the past, it's been years). I have tried this one out four times so far, and even if you start out with boiling water, it's basically lukewarm when it's all said and done. Also, my coffee mug is a little on the wide side, and the lip of the pour over was just large enough to fit over my mug. It's no big deal to pop the mug in the microwave to bring it up to a nice snuggly temperature, but some people might not like having to take this extra step. What I liked most was that this came as a set of two, and paper filters were included, which makes cleanup so much easier. I tried to make coffee once without the filter to see that that would be like and I really preferred making it with a filter. Both ways work, the filter just makes cleanup easier. Here's a reminder from your mother: It's not good for your plumbing to put coffee grounds down the drain! :^)

I have been using a small stainless steel dripper every morning so I couldn't wait to try this medium size dripper. The Scettar medium dripper is much better for me. It makes a great tasting cup of coffee. The mesh is very fine but it drips relatively quickly. Not sure why paper cone filters are included since I don't need a paper filter with the stainless steel dripper. But the paper filters are a welcome inclusion so I can use them with my ceramic or glass dripper for a change. Highly recommended.
