Got these to create one giant spear for the renaissance fair. Was not disappointed. They are a bit wobbly if you use their pieces to build them to high, but other than that, these were a stand out accessory, and no one had anything even close to them!

Very disappointed by this purchase. Nothing but plastic. No place did I read in ad that this was plastic. Ordered 2 . Very disappointed! Thought I was at least getting a real spear head. Need to more clear with your ad.

These are exactly what you expect. They twist together like a lot of curtain rods I've assembled recently. If you were doing a matching costume with a child, you could make one taller and one shorter. They're plastic, you can bang them around and play-fight without too much danger of injury. The red bows are silly- I'm not at all sure what they're supposed to represent or be used for, but whatever. I have an idea for cosplay that I will be using this for, it doesn't need to be super sturdy.

I got these to go with a costume for our Vacation Bible School. My children loved these. They come in pieces and twist together to make a spear. That is great because you can make them smaller for a child if you want. I took off one star because after very little playing from my kids, one of the poles bent.

These are definitely not for any sort of LARP or actual contact activity. And, from up close, they look pretty cheesy. But, they are still fun, and make interesting pieces for on stage or costuming.

Nice prop spears! You can remove or add pieces to customize the length.

This is exactly what you think it will be. It is not made for real battle, and is not metal... It is plastic and soft. This is perfect for the authentic look you are after, without the danger of getting hurt or hurting someone else. It is really cool that you can make them longer or shorter, depending on your own height. It is fun for father and son, to have longer and shorter. This is so much fun and allows for imagination in play! Good product.

At this price point, I'd expect them to be a little more realistic. They're obviously cheap plastic, you can see all the joints, the point doesn't look real at all, and there's a red bow on it for some reason. That being said, they're adequate for a costume, like for Halloween or a party or something. You wouldn't want them for something that's supposed to be more realistic like a convention or renn faire.
