Being a prospector I’ve used a lot of different hammers but this hammer is my personal favourite it’s got good steel and a good handle that I customize to fit my hand . I have bought 6 so far all good and ucostore is great to deal with .

Just received my rock hammer, so I took it with me on a trip to the river to rock hound.. it’s a pretty nice looking tool so I thought I had a keeper.. However just chipping away at a small sparkly / shale from the river bed , the handle snapped in half ? Exactly why a hickory handle would break like this is really a mystery..? But I’m assuming the quality of this wood handle was questionable..

This is a great little hammer! The pick end has stayed sharp and I've been using it on flagstone and concrete blocks. Very nice and solid tool.

purchased this in may now it is now november, head is loose i have been in construction for 35 years! this a poorly built hammer I have owned LOTS of hammers, I can tell when by feel when it dos'nt feel right!

Took on a fossil collecting trip a few weeks ago. Worked very well. Handle to head attachment is nicely done, is tight and doesn't look as though it will loosen any time soon.

Well balanced and does what it was designed to do. Head is attached to the handle nicely without movement and handle is thick and sturdy.
