This arm was absolutely awful. Completely useless. No matter how much I tightened or loosened it I couldn't get it to stay where I wanted it. And the base was huge, so huge it was impractical.

This product, combined with a basic, cheap USB microscope, makes a very powerful combination. This product works very well. Easy to move into place, and then it just stays there. I do recommend buying some stick-on rubber feet to add to this product. It helps it stick to your table, and reduces vibrations that you can see when using your microscope. Invaluable for PCB rework jobs.

It’s a well built stand and is convenient as a digital microscope stand. My only complaint is that with all the springs any slight movement causes vibrations that are very noticeable when looking through a zoomed in microscope camera.
