I have these silly useless bulkhead spaces above the doors of my house. I decided to remodel a room in a natural theme, so I made a frame and stapled the webbing to the back. It's held in place with. Heavy duty cabinet magnets. I used the space for guitar cases that I want to keep but take up a lot of closet space. I can't see through the webbing at all. It's well made. A bit stiff and it wants to roll up. I placed heavy objects on each end while I measured and cut. It makes a mess when cutting but the end result is well worth it!

The quality of this wicker is so nice and easy to work with. I was making cabinets for our laundry room and wanted to add some texture to the doors. I found this and love the weave pattern. I used wood glue to secure it to a 1/4" panel and slid them into the door frames I made. It was easy to cut and install. I was able to do 4 doors and I still have extra for 1 maybe 2 more doors. I glued the shiny side down because I wanted more of a matt/neutral finish. The shiny side has more color tones which ranged from a really pale green to brown to a light tan beige. The back side doesn't seem to have a lot a color range and was more consistent. I just used 220 grit sand paper to take off some of the frayed pieces and to have a smooth finish. I will definitely purchase again. I do show pictures of the difference between the front and back sheen and color tone. I hope this review helps others.

Just what I was wanting, soaked for 30 minutes before cutting, tightened up as it dried

Overall, I really like this rattan, but there were a couple of things I didn't like quite as well compared to other rattans I've worked with. One, it had a fair number of small "hairs" on it. These can easily be clipped off, but still show in between the weavings as you don't want to clip too close. Two, it is pretty stiff. I know that is partially due to the tight weave, but the cane itself just isn't as flexible as most I've worked with. I soaked it before working with it, which made it possible to get into the shape I wanted to, but when it dried, it was extra, extra stiff again. I used this to make a covering for a very large, indoor, plastic plant pot.

I got this to recover some speakers I had in a cabinet. It had canning on it, so I thought this would be a good fit. I did get it on the speakers however its so thick it wouldn’t fit back in to the spot. I did soak this for about an hour before trying to mold it over the wood which helped a lot. I tried taping it but since it was wet it didn’t work well. The price is good for the quality of the product. It’s just a little hard to manipulate since its such a tight weave.

The pattern on this canning is very nice and it's well weaved. It's a tighter weave and holds it's shape well when unrolled. The edges tend to fray a little but that has been my experience with items like this. It does measure correctly at being 24" wide and 3 feet long. The canning material appears to be of good quality and I'm looking forward to working it into a table top that I am creating for a side table.

Have you ever ordered something, and then when you got it you were unexpectedly thrilled? Here we are. This is a really nice quality rattan! It's evenly woven, it's flexible, it comes tidy and wrapped well, and it's really easy to work with! If you're cutting it, and I assume that most people will need to, I recommend taping the cut edges before doing anything else at all. It can start to come apart and the weave can move and shift, which can be frustrating. If you just put a strip of masking tape over the taped edges immediately after you cut, it will stay together nicely and you won't have any of those issues.
