Honestly the materials are very flimsy and won't last decades like Fotoflex or Wescott but, it's a fraction of the price. Treat it carefully and it does the job just fine.

You get ONE piece, not five like the illustration implies. I realized it explains it in the long description, so my fault, but VERY DECEPTIVE!!!

Collapsible reflectors like this used to cost hundreds of dollars. It was a scam, to be sure, but there wasn't enough competition to drive the price down to a more reasonable level, but clearly that has changed. The quality seems good to me, and the reflective surfaces are very reflective. Time will tell how well the reflective coating lasts, but for now, they work very well. One thing worth pointing out: the product photos are a little misleading, in that they seem to imply that you'll receive several different framed reflectors. There is only one frame, and you achieve "5-in-one" by stretching various covers over the one frame.

I have a home studio setup and these reflectors were just what I needed. They're not the highest quality ones you can find out there but they get the job done. They are pretty wrinkled but it doesn't impact function. They're easy to stow away in the bag for storage, also. All of them worked well when I tested them and gave the desired and expected results for the lighting. Great set for any amateur photographer or home studio.

Before we start the actual review, I have to mention that the first couple of pictures for this item are slightly deceptive. You are not receiving five separate reflectors/diffusers. You are receiving one diffuser, and one cover which has four different sides (double sided, and you turn it inside out.) It collapses down into a round carrying pouch.Setup and packing are super easy, just like one of those collapsible frisbees. Build quality is pretty good, noting super sturdy but it also doesn't feel flimsy. The outer cover has a small opening to get at the nylon hanging loop of the central panel (as long as you put it on the right way around), a nice touch. The way this works is, the central panel is the silk/diffuser. A cover goes over that, to give you gold, silver, white, and black. Silver and black are paired together, and you turn it inside out to get gold and white. I like how the metallic reflectors are not visible at the same time, since that will help prevent stray reflections from the backside. Getting the cover onto the disc can be a little bit of a pain, but it's not bad once you've done it a couple of times. It's held together with a zipper, and thankfully it's a double-sided pull.My only complaint is that the metallic surfaces get really wrinkled and creased from packing it away, which can sometimes make hotspots. Not a huge deal, and it may actually make reflections look more natural, depending on how you're using it.With how many different lighting modifiers you get in a packable size, it's really not a bad price.

I'm gonna be honest, I only got this because it was less than half the price I paid for a nearly identical set, and was curious what the differences were, and if this was a better option for some people. Here's what I found:- this is very light duty construction, and immediately you feel it. The fit and finish isn't great, and this is much better suited to either a studio environment, or for someone who wants a set that they won't feel bad if it gets damaged- what I like about my set over this one is that it includes the 1/4-20 screw mount making it easy to use with a stand and arm or magic arm, easier to use for a solo photographer- the bag is as thin as you can make it realistically, not rugged or one you'd want to travel with as it will damage fairly easily unless you are careful- the material on the reflector that is built in (the translucent) has some pretty deep wrinkles that cause a little irregularity in the thrown light if you use it as screen...it isn't bag, but it is noticeable on a flat even surface such as a wall- the reflective materials are quite thin, and I'm not sure how long they will last a repeated useAll that said...who is this for? Well, the price point is very attractive here, at the time I got it sub twenty dollars US. That is a bargain so long as everything does what it should, and these do. If you are just starting out and have a very strict budget, these are going to be a very useable option for you. Also would be good as a second set you throw in your go-kit as a back up, just in case. At this price point you have the peace of mind knowing you have a little breathing room and options. And at this price point, you won't feel too bad about it if it gets damaged or lost. It would also be great for someone like myself, who tends to use these in an art studio and can get soiled with a variety of art mediums, or with my pets who can be somewhat unpredictable when it comes to photo time. So, there is definitely a place for it at a really great price, which is why it gets four stars despite its light duty construction.
