This is an initial, first-impression review. I ordered this heater several months ago but was not able to install it until this week. It's working great at this point. It comes with a 2 supply hoses that have standard 3/8 inch female compression fittings on one end and the 1/2 NPT female fittings that attach to the heater male fittings. One of these will work for the cold water supply inflow. You will likely need an adapter (3/8" male compression coupler or nipple) to connect to the hose that goes to your faucet inflow. My install was a bit more complicated because I needed a tee to supply 2 faucets. It worked perfectly for me. No leaks, quick recovery, plenty of pressure to let us run both sinks at the same time.Water is much hotter than needed at high setting; I set it to slightly less than halfway and it's good and hot for our purposes.Problems:I'm a bit concerned about the relief valve in the cold water inlet, instead of the standard TPR valve places in the hot water side in the usual situation. So far, nothing has come out of the relief side and I have no way of knowing if it actually will work if we have an overpressure episode. This manual is extremely poor- all too common for inexpensive items from overseas, and please do not follow the "All nuts must be tightened to the maximum extent..." advice on the website- a guaranteed way to damage your fittings and leak everywhere.

Love this point-of-use heater! I installed this in our bathroom so that we would have hot water immediately instead of having to waste water running it to get hot water from the demand water heater. It was easy to hang on the inside of a bathroom cabinet and connect up to the plumbing. It makes plenty of hot water for washing hands or just a quick rinse, at least until the heated water from our demand heater can get there and take over. A great value, this will save us water as well as cut down on the need for hot water from our demand heater.

I have a bathroom that is all the way across the house from the water heater in the basement. The copper piping goes through unheated sections of the basement where I cannot insulate them. So this means the bathroom sink takes a long time for the hot water to heat up. And never gets fully hot because it loses so much heat in the copper pipes on the way. This is a perfect way to fix that problem because I can put it under the sink in that bathroom. It took some work but it was well worth the effort. It took some time to do the installation correctly because you do need to convert from the normal bathroom sink fittings to the 1/2 inch NPT fittings on this. Also, this unit requires venting into your sink's P trap. If you're handy, you can do this yourself. If not, I definitely recommend hiring a plumber.

This point-of-use water heater is designed to vent water from the relief valve during normal operation. Care must be taken to direct this discharge into a suitable drain.I installed this water heater in the basement below my kitchen sink, where it supplies hot water to the faucet in six seconds instead of three minutes. I used the existing hot water line to feed the water heater and minimize its energy use. There is no temperature indication on the thermostat dial, so I adjusted it by measuring the water temperature from the faucet to about 115-120 degrees Fahrenheit. It also feeds the dishwasher, which runs much faster with the hotter water.Unlike traditional water heaters, this unit uses an inlet check valve in the cold water line to prevent siphoning. That check valve also prevents water that expands while being heated from backflowing into the supply pipe, so the additional water volume needs to go somewhere to prevent dangerous pressure levels. One solution is to use a separate expansion tank. This water heater uses a different technology, however, and relieves pressure over 0.75 MPa (102 PSI) by venting “cool” water from the combination valve.Installation was not a minor affair. The heater hangs from a bracket behind the unit which I mounted to the block wall. I used a length of tubing from the big-box store to direct the relief-valve drain to my sump. The heater came with two unsuitable 16” flexible supply lines (one was plugged when received) with 3/8” compression fittings on the far ends. The heater is designed to connect with ½” FIP fittings with a FLAT washer; every hose and fitting I found locally had CONICAL washers which will not seal properly to the complex face of the heater connections. Fortunately, flexible supply lines from Amazon (ASIN B0D2XPSZGG) do have that flat washer and were easily connected.Full disclosure: I ordered this KENUOS Mini Tank Water Heater through the Amazon Vine program. As a user of the product, I have done my best to provide an honest review.

My RV didn't come with a dishwasher & since I didn't have a place to install one, I purchased a portable countertop style dishwasher. My husband fashioned an outdoor kitchen to accommodate the dishwasher & installed this hotwater heater for it. The waterheater has a regular 115VAC power plug so we didn't have to wire the electrical in so installation was very easy. This waterheater has made dish duty so much easier for me! I used to have to pour water into the dishwasher & then it would heat the water but sometimes, the dishwasher would need more water added to complete the cycle. I had babysit the dishwasher the entire time! Now all I do is start the dishwasher. Instant hot water straight to the dishwasher! So very convenient! This hot water heater comes with an inlet hose, an outlet hose, a pressure relief valve & pressure relief drain tube. We bought longer hoses at a hardware store to accommodate the length & the fittings that we needed for our particular setup. Also, we installed a longer pressure relief tube that we have coiled into the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket for water venting. I really love the convenience of having this water heater! I would definitely recommend it to others!
