Wow am I impressed with this! I can finally get to my higher branches with this and it’s nice and sturdy. I absolutely love the ability to detach the saw and use it as a handheld item instead of it being attached to the pole. It is super easy to put together and stays tight when you raise it up to the full length - and doesn’t come apart when limping. It’s really easy to handle and adjust up and down - storing is really easy too. My only wish for either an additive would to offer a cover for the blade but overall, I am very happy with it.

Works fine. Totally did the job. Blade doesn’t seem like the highest quality so will look for better one that will fit- but it works for now!

This is my first pole saw, but it is a great value. It is comfortable to wield and use; the blade is very sharp. The adjustable length comes in handy and should last many years. The padded grips provide a great hold and minimizes hand fatigue for big jobs. If there was anything worth mentioning, it would be some sort of sheath for the blade. It would be nice to have something to slip over during storage to prevent scuffs or nicks against you or other materials. For this price point, it isn't worth losing a star over. No more getting on a ladder and using the sawzall. This saw is built well and I should put it to good use.

This is the first manual pole saw I've used. I normally use an electric one or battery powered one that is more like a chain saw. I figured this would be harder to use, but much to my delight it was easier! It telescopes, and there are several options for length. You can also remove the saw part and use it as a smaller pruning saw because it has a handle for that too. I was able to easily reach up to the branches that needed removed in my mulberry tree, much higher and with more control than with my 14 foot power pole saw. This one is also really light, so even fully extended it was easy to handle. I also figured out that I could pull down tangled branches with the little hook on the backside of the blade. This was so easy and fun to use that I went out just to test it on one branch, and ended up removing branches for an hour just for fun. I don't have a before photo, but the tree looks way better without all the dead criss-crossing branches i easily removed with this saw.

This pole pruner currently priced at $39.99 turned out to be better quality than I expected. While it is lightweight, which is good to reduce fatigue and maintain balance on a ladder, it is built strong and tight. By tight I mean that the several joints between your hands and the toothy business end hold firm in use, at least as firm as could be hoped for. If you pull hard when the blade is stuck slippage is possible. The trick is to use enough skill to keep the blade from getting stuck. The telescoping sections fit very precisely without any gap, and so the cam locks complete the gripping of each section very firmly. (At least when dry, though why would anybody use this tool if it's raining?"The blade has sharp teeth and is clearly made of high quality steel, though it is slightly thinner than my old Fiskars pruner blade. The thinner blade might require a bit more finesse, but also with the narrower kerf less overall effort to cut. The blade assembly screws on quickly and easily, held firm by the supplied nut and bolt. There is room to add a lock washer which I did to prevent any loosening of the nut. In sum, the whole pole assembly from user to blade is tight and holds tight in normal use of sawing. The grips are padded for comfort though this type of padding tends to wear out relatively fast. Not an issue as simply wearing gloves suffices. The fact each section of the pole is progressively smaller toward the tip is favorable for balance and weight characteristics. The slightly thinner, lighter blade also helps with balance since the blade can be up to 12 feet away. This is a quality product in my view, very well designed and constructed. That said, I recommend it for occasional homeowner use as I doubt it is robust enough to handle heavy professional use day after day. The weakest link in my opinion would be the plastic cam locks. While I love how they go from unlocked to firmly locked with a very quick twist, they are after all plastic and thus less abuse-resistant than metal. I suspect that over a period of years the weak point that will start to fail or may even break if abused would be the cam locks. If this good quality ergonomic tool lasts even five years, the cost would be eight dollars per year. I think with careful treatment it might last from ten to twenty years.

This isn't so much a tree trimmer as it is a hand saw with a very long extension pole. With that in mind, I assumed I'd lose a lot of leverage once the handle was fully extended. I was pleasantly surprised! I attacked 2 branches of similar size (silver dollar-diameter); the first one at a 6' extension, and the next at 12'. The saw was shockingly easy to maneuver at both lengths. I'm very pleased! Some things to keep in mind:- The saw head screws onto to the handle like an attachment, but it also comes with a long screw and nut for added security. The screw hole was slightly off center, so I briefly thought about skipping this step. Then I pictured a sharp hand saw coming loose 12 feet off the ground. Need I say more? It's a standard Phillips head; it took me 2 seconds with the power drill.- Save the box. The saw does not come with a sheath or any type of protective cover, so unless you have something for storage, keep the box. Don't forget to clean your saw when done :).- The extension pole is a universal size, so if you have attachments like a broom head or car wash attachments, they should fit. I have a gutter cleaner attachment and it fit perfectly.- My pics show the pole at minimum extension and at full extension. I put arrows next to the extension clamps so you can see just how big this thing is.I've been wanting to trim those branches for a long time, and it took all of 10 minutes to bring them down. I'm a happy homeowner.

This was easy to assemble and was razor sharp right out of the box. I trimmed a bunch of palm trees with it, and it was a dream.
