This shark light and horn have been a super fun addition to our son’s bike. The light is nice and bright allowing him to navigate safely through dark areas. The horn is pretty loud and abrupt to people on the sidewalks nearby. I wish there was a way to change the sound of the horn easily. The install on this light was easy.

These have an incredibly loud horn for them, so be aware!!! We had it plugged in to charge and my son somehow set off the alarm and we couldn't figure out how to stop it for about 15 seconds. I finally just unplugged it from being charged and the alarm stopped. The only way we could figure out how to set it off again was to have a controller plugged into the back of it. The controller has two buttons, one to turn on the light (3 different settings), and one to beep the horn/alarm. I do appreciate that the alarm is so loud for when my son will be out riding his bike. And I like the brightness of the light as well. I definitely feel more safe with him having this on his bike so that people should be able to see and hear him more easily. This is a great little product for the price!

The light is good and the horn is loud, maybe a little too loud. Could be great for traffic areas in the city, they WILL hear you.

I realize this bike light is meant for kids but fully confess that I ordered it for myself. The mounts aren’t big enough for my thicker road bike handlebars, but they easily adjust along the whole varying thickness front end of my mountain bike and hold securely. The light is actually brighter than the 500 lumen bike light for adults I’ve been using. It does have a hot spot and halo, but I’m not going to hold that against a low priced children’s bike accessory. It isn’t exactly intended for high speed nighttime trail rides. I chose not to install the optional remote on my bike because I already have a high end bell on it and will only use the shark for light. I did put everything together to test, however, and the remote works as expected. The horn is so obnoxiously loud it might scare anyone nearby off the trail, but it definitely does its job. I can easily control the light from the shark itself but can’t seem to activate the horn without using the remote. Love that the shark light is rechargeable and has a battery percentage meter. Judging by how the numbers dropped during our test ride, I would expect a full charge to last at least an hour or two. The light is a fairly large size so it’d be quite bulky on small children’s bikes, but I think the cute factor is worth it! The soft finish makes me think it could withstand a few drops and falls, too.
