This thing does exactly what it’s supposed to do it just kind of feels like it’s gonna fall apart at any moment. The plastic is really cheap, but the functionality is on point so I would still encourage you to buy it.

I bought this hoping to use it to advance slides of bullet points on my iPad rather than using a teleprompter app. I vary my speaking rhythm so I’m either constantly speeding up or slowing down the scroll rate and wanted to try a different approach.The good news is that it does work… sort of. My iPad is a little older so I had to use a USB C to lightning adapter. It would not advance the slides in Keynote nor Google slides but it worked fine with PowerPoint.Now the bad news. The receiver slides in and out of the bottom of the remote. I was putting it back in after testing with my laptop first and got it in there crooked. I managed to get it out but apparently bent the housing of the USB C connector ever so slightly. I was able to coax it back into shape to attach the adapter and perform the tests on the iPad. When I went to remove the adapter, however, there was some resistance and the receiver literally pulled apart in my hands.As far as I could tell the receiver was completely fine before I got it crossways in the storage slot. I don’t trust myself to not be clumsy with it so I will be replacing it with a clicker that uses a different storage solution for the receiver or that uses Bluetooth.
