Great price! Great product! Easy to put together. I would add a bait cage. These square traps catch way more than my round traps. 😀

Round traps seem to work better

Really like the product but just opened the packages and one of them was missing one 100’ of the 5/16” leaded line.

The traps work well so far for the Pacific. You may want to consider getting additional floats or some other readily identifiable markers for these buoys, as pretty much everyone and their mothers have the same red/white colors.

After ordering, I received my package within a week. Nothing is missing or damaged. I’m a beginner at crabbing. Take that into account when I say that I found everything to be high quality and worth my money. The line was heavy enough that I had no issues. The only I couldn’t do was get the rings (?) to close so I used zip ties to keep the cages together. Nothing wrong with the cage or ring. Just not enough hand/arm strength on my end.I had fun and caught crabs so they did their job! Oh, and they do not ship to PO Boxes. And the owners are delightful. Thank you for your customer service!

So sturdy! Well built and will last a long time. Everything you need to crab. The bait bag wasn’t the best but still worked.

After 3 uses, it broke apart. The crab pot broke apart as I was pulling it up today. No crabs. Don't waste your money.

Pots are quality and require some bending of hooks in order to put together. Use a large pair of pliers with a pad.The twine on the pots is required so that the crabs can escape if the pots get lost. The twine will disintegrate over time.Be sure to remove the rubber bands on the gates. Those are only for shipping. The rope this comes with is thin and cheap. I would buy the other pack that comes with leaded core rope or buy it separately.I would also weigh the pots down with a brick and put some washers or small weights on the gates so they don’t stay open.

I ordered this set for my first crabbing outing with my buddy in Halfmoon bay. If you have never gone crabbing before, all the items included in this set seem a bit confusing for first timer. Don't worry, it's pretty straight forward and simple to setup. What I learned:1. If you follow set up instruction, you will have to crimp down all the wires with a strong pliers and the pot will become very sturdy and strong. It's also become non collapsible making difficult to transport. To make it collapsible, I loosen the top 4 wires just enough so 2 sides of the pot can be easily snap out. This allow me to fold the pot flat making it very easy to transport.2. The twine line is a must to comply with CA rules and regulations. Do not cut it or change it to zip tie. You may get ticketed for it.3. I wrote my fishing ID# and phone # on the floats with permanent marker so it won't be mistaken by someone else and for easy retrieval.4. We were crabbing at about 150-180ft of water. The 100ft included line will not be enough. You will have to order extra sinking line from Amazon if you need to go deep. I bought extra 100ft anchor with quick connect hook Harbor Freight for $6.46 each. I recommend keeping the extra line at 100ft even you are not going deep. You may need in the future. Let the extra float in the water. It's perfectly fine.5. For bait, I bought some chicken bones from Asian market @ $59/lbs. Fill the bait bag and hang it on top of the pot, don't just throw in in there. It may interfere with the trap doors. Chicken bones worked really good for me.6. We were dropping the pot into pretty strong current. The pot were heavy enough to go down without added weight which help tremendously when you manual hauling the pot up from 150ft down with crabs. You must come up with a way to properly manage your lines so they won't get tangled up. I'm thinking about getting a big spool to deal with the lines. We dropped total of 6 pots and caght more than 70 huge dungenese crabs. All were above legal size and keepers. However, we had to release more than 30 crabs because there only 4 of us and the limit in CA is 10/person.Get this crab pot and it will work fine catching crabs for you. Highly recommended. Will add more update if I can think of anything else.
