This is wide but not deep enough to be a good noodle/dumpling spoon. It's too flat and will not hold much broth. It's wide enough to hold some noodles to prevent splashing or slurping and can hold a soup dumpling while you sip the broth, but it's flatter than an average table setting spoon. The fish scales look cheaply hammered and I didn't find it appealing at all.

These spoons are super cute! I love the fish pattern on them. My only negative is that they aren’t very deep. I kinda expected them to be more like a soup spoon but this is more like a normal size spoon depth. They are a good size beyond that.
