I attached these straps to older skates to create a better fit. It worked!

Compared to the straps that came with my fairly expensive inline skates these appear to be of equal quality. They are a nice length and I like that the thread locker was already applied to the screws so I did not have to use my own. As the failure mode of these straps is due to continued use with a slow degrade of the plastic when subjected to tensile & shear forces, I cannot say at this time how they will hold up. This review will be updated if life expectancy becomes a problem but right now all looks good.
