The fit is great and the quality of the material is appreciated. Cost wasnt too bad, so I think the value is there. Works well and keeps my axes covered. Worth a try if you need a case.

I got these based on the measurements hoping they'd fit a certain hatchet I have, but sadly they were just a tad too small- it's a little tough when you only have the outside measurements of the sheath to deal with and have to try and "eyeball" how much of said measurements will be taken up by the rivets.Thankfully, I had another hatchet (actually, I have a LOT of hatchets, but the one I ended up using is a pretty standard camping size) that these did fit on, and here are my thoughts:As a sheath, these aren't bad. The material is fairly thick and the combo velcro and snap makes for easy accessibility. That said, I wouldn't trust the belt loop to last long if this is worn on a belt regularly. Loops stitched straight to the side of anything expected to hold weight inevitably fray at the threads from the corners inwards. This is because the weight of the axe is bearing directly on the stitching. Also, the problem with velcro , especially on the back where it absolutely NEEDS to stay in place to prevent the axe from falling out, is that velcro tends to wear out after awhile and especially so if exposed to dirt, brush, or any other things that could get caught in it or if it's just used often. At least, that's been my experience. If you need a sheath for the hatchet you keep in your car for emergencies or the occasional camping trip, this may be a great option for you (especially since it's a two-pack; you can have twice as many hatchets! Yay! Or just, y'know, have a spare sheath for when the first one wears out). If you need something to hold up to repeated and regular field use while carried on your person, I'd look elsewhere. Thanks!

This is a good price for a pack of two. The stitching and sewing is basic and the material is made from an economy nylon that you find with basic knives or machetes. It fit my Best Made/ Council Tool hatchet well. I expect if worn on a belt, with basic duty, this would last a couple of years.
