These Heavy-duty multi-angle hose pliers are super tough and reliable. They function perfectly for the purpose intended. No slipping off of clamps. These pliers grab the clamp and don't let go until you release them.

This was an excellent tool for replacing all my SUV's heater and radiator hose clamps, trim enough to get into tight spots and long enough to reach in. I had clamps I couldn't reach with other several other clamp tools, but this longer tool gave me instant access, and the waffle grip pattern worked great without having to align anything. The locking mechanism also worked well. Once I bought this for a couple clamps I couldn't reach, I used it for all remaining clamps and saved a lot of time. Highly recommended!Build quality is "good enough." They're made from metal plate, like some wire strippers, but the gauge is thick enough and the weld is solid enough that it gets the job done. They're not cast metal like the best tools, but the price was low and they should be more than fine for a DIY mechanic like me. I used them for 7 clamps and they showed no sign of strain.

I've had great luck so far, it works well when you need to go straight at a large clamp and can't come around the side like with the traditional hose clamp with the long cable. Very wide opening, I was able to do clamps up to 2 1/2 inch without issue on my hard to reach lower radiator hose into the water pump. None of my other clamps can go near that large, 2 inches is pushing for those. Lock teeth are more course than most so I am hoping they are less likely to strip out over time.

Hose clamp pliers are a Necessity for working on removing hose clamps. This tool was invaluable. Once I had these in my hand it took less than a minute to remove clamp that I struggled getting off with other tools I had. 3 days fighting a clamp that was in the most difficult position.

These Hose Clamp Pliers work good using straight down on the hose clamps. I found approaching the clamp from the side, it didn't seem to grab as well. They are, however, very well made.

Spring mechanism was torqued down to inhuman levels of strength. Had to use channel locks to loosen it and even then the pliers never actually were able to be opened until I completely ripped the spring off of the pliers themselves. Item still technically works as pliers now but the spring mechanism doesn’t auto snap back to close or lock it when opening.
