These are small enough to not be overly bulky in your pocket, and they add a reasonable level of security. They are medium gauge coated and coiled steel cables. No match at all for a person with bolt cutters, or even pliers if they don't mind taking a minute, but they will prevent simple thefts of opportunity. It is very easy to set the combination when the lock is open and the lock works reliably once the combination is set.
