I was looking for a rice paddle to replace a broken one that came with my rice cooker. These came as a pair, and the first thing I noticed about them is the weight. They seem to be about double with weight of my old paddle, with a thick handle that fits well in my hands. There is a hole in the handle that allows for hanging, and there is a spoon rest molded to the bottom that keeps the head off the counter. The entire paddle is covered in a soft silicone, and only the front face of the scoop gets the molded dots treatment. The problem with this design is the back of the head will get rice stuck on it since there are no dots back there. Another problem that I experienced is the tip of the head flexes and is not rigid. When I scoop the rice out, the leading edge of the head bends inward and squishes the rice. It seems to be okay if I use the scoop with the sides since they are rigid, but I would have much preferred that the entre head was rigid.Overall, I like these rice paddles and they do a good job of scooping out cooked rice from a rice cooker. I don’t like the flexible edge and the lack of dots on the back of the head, but I can overlook these drawbacks since they are so well-made and functional.

The quality of these is amazing. They're heavyweight and have a texture to the scoop part of the spoon that makes getting the rice off of them a breeze. The angle of the scoop is perfect for reaching into the crevices of my rice cooker and the little stand on the handle works great for setting them onto the counter without touching the counter's surface with the spoon part. Awesome find.
