This latch will not open on its own as many do; they have a ball bearing that keeps it shut. Excellent quality. Supplied washers have to be worked with on the installation.

The 1 1/8 version replaced the key locks on my 2019 Roxor. Easy install. 4 stars as these are not stainless or likely lifelong parts, but these work just fine. I knew this going into this relationship.

Bought to replace factory installed Salem Forest River locker latches that, in less than 2 years, looked and felt like they were going to fail at any time. These are much higher quality than factory installed latches.

They don't last long made from cheap metal so they corrode easily

Works great on our new to us 2012 Passport Ultralite. The part you grab to twist (once installed, when you use it everyday) is not as wide or thick as the originals, but this is my 2nd set because the 1st set was easy to change & worked so well. I put the 1st one on the latch that would not turn & the 2nd latch on the one that turned freely, so rarely locked. This set I put on the other 2, because sometimes I’d have to put the catch in the right place before closing the door. Now all latches/doors open & close with ease! I did use the catch (flat metal part) that was original to my camper vs using the ones that came with these as mine had a slight slant to each corner & I didn’t know how perfectly flat ones would catch on my camper. Also, I laid the pieces out in order as I removed the old one, so I made sure to put these in correctly. I did them myself & although I do consider myself handy, I am a short not overly strong woman, so I think most people could change these with basic tools & maybe a step stool for the ones on an outdoor kitchen door.

These install quickly and easily with minimal tools (just used pliers).Note, when taking the old ones off, you may need to keep the metal part that turns and catches behind the opening to keep the door closed. The ones that come with this, while close, aren't exactly the same as the ones I took off. I simply swapped out the new ones for the old ones before installing them, which is just a bold that screws into the end. This ensured that the doors held tightly closed.
