I'm no expert on tree wrap, but this seems like a solid product. The wrap is quite heavy--in fact it was a bit hard to wrap on the very young trees I used it on--and I expect will hold up very well. I took a leftover piece and left in in the sink and it seemed to hold up pretty well; it would tear if I pushed on it with my finger pretty firmly, but with more normal wear and tear I'd expect the wrap to hold up pretty well. You also get a very generous sized roll of wrap. I used it on a 10' tree, a 6' tree and 4 3' trees and used less than half the roll.

I purchased this item to help heal my Japanese Maple Tree. The bark was cracking. It was easy to install. Will check again in the spring to see how it worked. It is now almost winter.

This is the traditional plant protector wrap on a roll. It was easy to apply to the tree and tie off. It shouldn't have a problem protecting the tree trunk this winter from freezing temps. Not only from cold weather, but bugs also.
