They are terrible. They do not work. The alarm goes off when the door is slammed, but it does not go off when the door opens or shuts. The one that I purchased from the Dollar Store works better.

It would be better to have it screwed to the door and frame then just taped.

However, if you have uneven doors or sinking foundation that throws your doors off, this may get a bit annoying trying to line them up completely. It is straightfoward setup, and I'm only using one for now. We aren't using them for when we are away, but it's mostly for nighttime. Our front door is far from the bedrooms and hard to hear over the HVAC unit, so this will help us feel a little safer in a rural area.

Great to place in the storage house and basement windows where there are no powered outlets nearby. Gives you peace of mind that no unauthorized entry to the dwelling is happening. Quick to setup and install.

I knew I would be needing some of these sensor alarm devices to put around my small business soon, but I didn't really have an experience with them, and wasn't sure which one to choose. I ultimately went with this product offered by the Mosaic Alarm Store, and I was pleasantly surprised by both the value and the quality. With this product, you actually get three alarms in one pack. The sound is great and loud sounding for each; even louder than I actually expected it would be, but it is not adjustable, so there is that. The alarms offer infrared connections and it can be delayed when the connection is left open. Just be sure there is a gap of less than 0.4 inches, or 10mm between the sensors and the alarms.I don't have a large office space but regardless, the sensor "sensitivity" works perfectly, and I have no doubt it would work just as well in a much larger space than my own, because it is dependant purely on the window or door where it is installed. The plastic seems to be durable enough, and I don't have too much concern about either the alarm or the sensor portions of the product getting damaged any time soon. Because I have a lot of expensive equipment, I now feel more secure having these units installed at various points of potential entry around my small business. 5 stars.

Easy to install. My only drawback is the regular alarm doesn't work. Other than that it's great. Much louder than ones I have had before.

Pros:Adhesive backing makes them easy to install, but they are loud! There is no way you'd be sleeping though them going off. Which is great - they're doing what they're supposed to be doing. Would maybe have liked a little volume control for a in at-home setting, but I could see how the loud volume would work better in a commercial setting.Cons:The batteries. They're the small button batteries (LR44?) I could see them running out and then I'd just never get around to replacing them because they'd be a pain to find where I live, so the whole thing would eventually just be thrown out.

These door (or window) alarms are smaller than the ones that use AA batteries, but the use of the LR44 batteries may drive up costs a bit when you have to replace them. The switch on the side makes it easy to move it to either alarm mode or door chime mode, and once moved away from the opposing magnet, they emit a loud sound in either mode. (The chime actually goes off three times in a row, which seems excessive to me, and it is loud enough to wake up someone in the house, to be sure.) It would be nice to have a volume control, too, but I guess if you are using these in a warehouse setting, they will work quite well.
