This hooked up to existing alarm system. It's very loud considering I have it tucked away good so can't be seen, I do have it facing the ground.

At first when I got it and took it out of the box I wondered to myself "Is this bigger than the one that came with my alarm?" I couldn't remember, because it's been a while since I installed my Avatal alarm system but when I opened up the engine compartment and looked it was clear how much bigger and better this siren is compared to the ones you get with most alarm systems.Just make sure your compartment has enough space to house the replacement because it turned out to be a very tight fit for me I forgot how small the old one was. As far as sound goes yes its a louder chirp/siren. I'd say another reviewer was right in describing it as about 30% louder, not earth shattering but definitely louder and better quality. And yes it does produce all the same sounds and variations of siren as the original system. Overall 100% recommend

Great siren. Your vehicle will never be stolen with this very loud siren. At 118 decibels, it will scare away any would be thief. I just installed this on my new Yamaha Golf cart with a Viper alarm system, and it works great.
