Good idea but did not work out very well with the 7 piece fly rod I planned to use them with. I ended up using a couple of the neoprene w/velcro straps to hold all the sections together in one "bundle" for that rod.These work best in my opinion with 2 to 4 piece rods with sections close to the specs given of 4, 6, 8.2, and 10 mm section diameters. Too big and it deforms the holder, too small and it won't hold the section.Odd that they are sold in package of 3 since I would think most rods would need at least and probably only 2.Good product and a reasonable price if they work for your rod(s). Measure your sections first.
