This thing actually works. All you need to do is put the needle in the hole, eye side down and push the button. Then wrap your thread around the hook and release the button. 9 times out of 10 it works well. Sometimes it doesn't and I assume it has to do with the needle's position.This works really well for single thread. I typically cross stitch with two strands, and it doesn't always catch the second strand. The little hook is pretty small. Sometimes I can insert one thread at a time and it works. I think this is probably best for regular stitching and I don't think three strands of floss will work.
