I purchased the 50 grit belts. They appear fine. However, the country of origin was not USA, they were from Korea.

I’ve been using Sungold sanding belts for more than twenty five years and they are good sanding belts.

I don't do a lot of belt sand so when I pulled some old Klingspor belts out the other day the first one separated after about 30 seconds. Ditto with the last 2 I had. I chalked it up to old belts. When I started shopping for new belts I was shocked by the prices. Like I said I don't do a lot of belt sanding so when I found these I was just hoping they would last long enough for my current project, three 8 foot long by 2 feet wide edge grain hard maple countertops.Talk about surprised, I just finished rough flatening the first countertop and the first belt is still going strong. It's rare for me to be impressed enough to give a 5 star rating but especially what I consider to be a low cost product. I definately recommend these.

Very pleased with these sanding belts, cutting quality is excellent and they did not clog as easily as other brands of belts.

I bought the Assorted Coarser grit on 1/18/2018 and I finally got around to using them on 10/16/2020. You should check your package because I was supposed to get 2 of each, (2-80, 2-100, 2-120, 2-150 and 2 - 180)but I got 4 of the 100 grit and zero 80 grit. I am still giving them 3 stars, because I used 2 of the 100 grit and they worked well. Maybe I would have taken the rough off of the rough cut beam a little faster with the 80 grit, but the 100 grit worked well.

I have used sungold belts and sand paper for years. I used to get them from Trendlines, which seems to have disappeared, and now Amazon.Sungold belts and sandpaper are extremely durable and rarely fail before the grit wears off, unlike most others I'be bought from local box stores. The grit also seems sharper than average and better glued on.I occasionally will do a medium sized hardwood floor with a belt sander, as its faster than renting a floor sander, once all the driving and pickup and drop offs are taken into account--and it gives you more control over the result. With other sanding belts, a bit of imperfections in the flooring, some old varnish, an errant floor nail, etc will cause almost new belts to fail. With sungolds, the nail etc just get properly sanded down, and on one goes.
