If you're using them for a pool they can be washed in the washer or by hand in a clean bucket of water.If using them in a fish pond/aquarium do NOT use any cleaning products on them! Just use clean dechlorinated water from the tank or tap water that's dechlorinated in a clean bucket used only for these! If you've used any cleaning products/dish detergents in the bucket do NOT use it! A good bag of filters and they fluff up when opened and it fits my filter but I would need more to completely fill it. The cleaning is very good and it definitely improves the water cleaning in a much easier way.

Only time will tell if these really work like they say. Only thing, these were blue and not white like the package and the description read. I guess it isnt important, but I think it will be easier to see if the white ones are easier to determine when dirty as opposed to the blue. I am hoping these work to replace my sand in the filter

I switched from a sand filter to the filter balls. Easy to set up for summer and take down for winter. The water is clear!
