I have an RMC-95C kerosene heater and this is a perfect replacement wick. If your heater smells badly or gives off some black smoke when you start or stop it, it may be time for a replacement wick. I know the manual has a cleaning procedure. I've followed it in the past and it made a slight difference. The procedure takes a bunch of time to do because you constantly have to re-light your heater when it is essentially out of fuel. And you have to do it outside because it smokes so much. I've found it is much quicker to just replace your wick with a new one. And it will burn way better than just cleaning it.
