Worked perfectly for a 150 watt High Pressure Bulb and I appreciate that people still have these available.

Easy fix. I replaced the ballast and installed new bulb. Now the light is working. This item is easy to install and cheaper then replacing the fixture.

I replaced the ignitor in my Regent 70w HPS security light after more than 30 years of service. The dusk to dawn module was the first thing I suspected, but it tested fine. The ignitor was the next most likely component to have failed. This new one has a wiring label, but no wiring diagram or other instructions with it and of course, I just had the physical light assembly to look at on my old light. There was a wiring label on the old ignitor and I found a diagram on-line. I discovered that the blue and red wires on the new ignitor were reversed from the way those same colored wires were connected on my old light assembly. Considering that it may not make any difference which way it is wired, I wired my light according to the on-line diagram. With power applied, the light ignited and began it's brightness ascent just fine. This product is apparently marketed to those experienced in repairing outdoor and security lighting fixtures. I happen to be a retired electrical engineer. That no doubt helped me out.

The igniter was easy to install and my outdoor light worked great. It worked so well I had to clean and paint it. Looks like a new light.

Worked like a charm by fixing a 30 year old security light my father in law just mounted on his shop. This ignitor did the trick after I figured out it wasn't the bulb. Was very easy to install and starts the 70W HPS light bulb pretty fast. Comes with a single loop mounting bracket that was a bit tight but other than that can't beat the quality for the price.

Replacing the ignitor in a HPS lamp is a very cost effective repair if you are willing to take the fixture apart. When these fixtures fail it's always the ignitor. The original ignitors in HPS fixtures typically last only a few years.
