Recently outgrew my four port audio switch, so this was the next logical step. It's simple to set up. There are not a lot of options necessary for a switch like this but you can use either 1/8" (3.5mm) phono plugs, or dual RCA for each input.Switching between inputs is smooth. In my testing there was no crosstalk between sources - even with multiple sources live at once. This is not a scientific statement because I didn't do anything to measure it, but I don't detect any signal degradation running a source through this switch. It also comes with rubber feet already installed (my last switch did not). This was exactly what I needed. Definitely recommended.

Didn’t work, couldn’t confidently click into the buttons and have an indicator of active audio, no directions, no customer service number.

This 3.5mm AUX + RCA L/R stereo audio switcher is an excellent tool for managing multiple audio devices. With 8 inputs and 1 output, it’s perfect for switching between various audio sources like speakers, headphones, and multiple devices without needing to constantly unplug and replug cables. The bi-directional functionality adds even more convenience, allowing for seamless switching in either direction. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to streamline their audio setup for both personal use or in a more professional environment. The build quality is solid, and the switcher is easy to operate, with clear labeling for each input. I appreciate how compact it is, making it simple to incorporate into my existing audio system without taking up too much space. The audio quality remains clear and undistorted even when switching between devices, which is a huge bonus.Overall, this audio switcher is a great addition for anyone looking to easily manage multiple audio inputs and outputs. It’s durable, easy to use, and effective at maintaining high-quality sound, making it a great value for the price. Highly recommended for anyone with a multi-device audio setup!

I really like this switch box, it works good, and has plenty of positions available to hook up equipment.I did not use the 3.5mm aux ports, I only used the RCA ports. I have a bunch of CD and DVD players, some I bought new and others from thrift stores. Some are Sonys which can play SACD disks, which is coming back in popularity. Other players are hooked up to stand alone DACs. A few are newer players with HDMI, but I hook the RCA plugs just to listen to audio. With this switch, finally I can hookup more of my toys. This is a passive unit, it generates no heat. It has nothing fancy, which is good for what it is. It is easy to hook up, there is no instructions but none were needed. If you need an 8 port RCA/3.5mm switch, you probably can figure this out without help. It doesn't add any noise to the signal, which is a plus. The buttons are far enough apart to not wonder which one you pushed. It is a big box but needs to be for that many positions, and is heavy enough to stay in place. With the included rubber feet installed, it doesn't move around when you push the button. The are no lights to add to all the lights if many of the eight players are turned on.I believe it is a good deal, even a two position switch can cost this much. I am still using this switch, I no longer have a couple of smaller ones hooked up to my stereo system.

I still have plenty of gear that uses RCA inputs: speakers, mixers, receiver, DVD player, cassette deck (yeah, cassette deck), along with newer gear that uses a variety of USB, ¼” phono, and plenty of mini jacks.Pushing and pulling adapter cables and connectors has been a way of life but recently I’ve wished for the simplicity of old A/B boxes I had that took RCA inputs - but I want one that can handle both RCA and mini plugs.Wish granted: This audio switch box is exactly what I wanted.I like that it’s totally passive (not a personality judgement, it means there’s no power/battery required).I like that it’s substantial in weight and won’t flop around like lightweight A/B switches I’ve had to weight down in place.Functionally I like that it treats every stereo input as either RCA or mini – full parity that allows maximum flexibility to assign switches. The switching itself is clean, with that hollow button, “springy” action that’ll bring back memories, and no weird latency, pops, or interference from the circuitry. And, while individual buttons can only be pressed “in” (you can’t toggle a single button in/out), you can “un-press” a button by pressing another button fully or by “half-pressing” that’ll leave all buttons unpressed. If you can remember push-button car radios, you’ll get the idea (if not, you’ll figure it out).Yes, using a switch box means buying additional RCA and mini jack cables dedicated to each device I plug into the switch box. Reality: I’ve got more cables lying around than I want to think about. What I like most of all is the convenience of pressing a button in the middle of a recording project instead of pulling and pushing cables. And yes, those mini jacks can handle headphones so it’s a really handy way to do reference checking across various speakers and headphones.I figure I’ve done things the hard way for ages – going back to cabling stereo cassette decks together to “overdub” back in the 70’s. With this switch box I think I’ve earned a little button-pressing extravagance!

Excellent product. But I bought two and one arrived in an odd state which needs to be fixed, namely all buttons pushed. So every input is tied to the output. Push one button very hard to remedy this and then it works as you expect.

Good inexpensive product. Only thing missing would be lighted selector switches, could be solved with LEDs connected via a USB cable .
