This slightly obscure part gets quite brittle after 18 years and breaks if you brush against it, much less if you try to remove the hoses. Probably won't need it to last another 18 years, but I know where to get it if needed.

After cleaning the throttle body on my 16 y.o. CR-V the idle fluctuated after the engine came up to temp. Later it threw a code P0507, idle too fast. In trying to troubleshoot I found that the injector air assist valve was stuck open. It is a little difficult to change but once installed the idle is steady. Still too fast but steady.

This was the second aftermarket one of these I put in my element. First one lasted a year, this one lasted two months. This is one of those parts that you should spend the extra to get an OEM one, or just get the delete kit. Pretty annoying to have to do this job again.
