Bought for cosplay and play combat with my kids. Painted for a little more realism. The chips and battle damage was done deliberately with a rotary tool, not from use. The blades can clash over and over and take no damage. Very solid practice sword or costume piece.

This was a gift for my daughter and she loved it, for her cosplay.

I bought this with the intention on dressing it up for LARPing and sparring. With a little prep work and cleaning of your surface and proper applications of paint you can get a nice looking weapon. It's a few ounces heavier than a cold steel Bakken (pictured below) and has a good swing feel. It takes impact fairly well. Because of the way I decided to wrap the handle I have a very slight wobble in the crossguard. If you use the included grip sleeve the wobble is gone.Have fun
