The hooks are beefy and have a large opening. The connecting bolt is big, so the right size chain has to be used. The cotter pin in the bolt was just slightly bent for easy removal. The finish appears to be durable to minimize rusting. The safety latch and spring work smoothly and are bulky as well for a lot of use.

I only recently got these, but they're already my favorite hooks for dealing with my heaviest equipment. I'm using them in the garage with thick chains and an I-beam clamp for hoisting.These are beefy hooks, make sure you have chains with big enough links to handle them.Very happy with this product, highly recommended.
