Was a time when you needed to get one of either two main brands to get quality and functionality. However, times have changed - this bladder holds 3 litres (a bit over 6 cups), is easy to seal, doesn’t leak and has a hose/mouthpiexe that works as good as any other. Also great value at the price.

This bladder is great quality. Filled with water and put in my pack for 24 hours when removed my pack was bone dry. This pack does exactly what the description states and doesn’t leak five stars given.

I got this to replace my Camelbak bladder that needs replacement after years of service. This one is a much more reasonable price - just about half as much.

This top loading hydration bladder works great! It is so easy to fill and it keeps water from leaking so much better than screw-on ones I have had. It is a good deal and I like that it is 3 liters. The hose and mouthpiece work just as well as any other name brand ones I have. I like that it is bpa free.

This is a great 3L hydration water bladder. It has large opening that makes filling very easy. The opening of the bladder has a pre-fold and ridge that makes sealing the bladder very easy. I have other hydration bladders that do not have the pre-fold and ridge that makes it difficult to slide the sliding lock to the top of the hydration bladder. Other hydration bladders I have has mouth piece that slides up in order to allow the water to flow. This hydration bladder has little twist lever to control the flow of water. The hose connects to the bottom via a connection socket and has an O-ring to prevent leaking. I did not encounter any leaks with this hydration bladder.At the time of this review, the Burtrail 3L Hydration Bladder was selling for $14.99. This price is significantly lower for a high quality 3L hydration bladder than other name brand hydration bladder and works just as good.

I wanted to actually use this and try it out before giving it a review. After two outings with it now, I must say it’s just as good (if not better) than my Platypus and Camelbak bladders. It’s made of the same thick BPA-free materials as the Camelbak. I like the fact that the tube is quick-disconnect, and I’m a fan of the “fold and slide” closures over the screw-cap type, even if they are wide-mouth. The slide lock which keeps the bladder closed seals tight, and has cut-outs for Velcro to hang the bladder in your pack. Nothing worse than a bladder you can’t hang vertically….The yellow on/off valve on the mouthpiece is solid and positively stops in both positions. The only thing that could be improved upon would be an insulated tube cover, but that could be easily added. For the price, it’s a great bargain. Glad I got this. Would definitely recommend!!

Good sturdy material for the bladder body. The top opening with the slide lock is a improvement over other water bladder styles for filling easily and makes cleaning and drying much simpler. The quick lock system is well made and gasketed to prevent leaks inside the backpack. The thumb lock on off valve is an upgrade from my other bladder which just relies on the bite valve to stop leaks.
