I'm beyond pleased with this product. Adhesive is strong (make sure you de-grease the parts) as is the retention Velcro on steroids.

I used a 2" strip at the top and bottom of each pedal to secure them in place. I also used the same technique to mount the power supply and direct boxes underneath and have had no issues. You can literally pick up the board and shake it and nothing moves; I'd use sparingly....

Velcro? Like a Post-It compared to this stuff. I use it to secure guitar pedals to my PedalTrain board... Pedals snap into place with an authoritative "Click". And then they aren't going ANYWHERE without a little effort. If you shuffle pedals multiple times a day, it might even be a little bit of a PIA. But your pedals will NOT move. Bonus: There is only one kind of "side" - whereas "hook and loop" fasteners have two different sides, this stuff locks to itself. Bonus two: Hook fasteners collect pet hair and look gross. This stuff does NOT act like a lint brush.

This is truly industrial grade hook and loop fastener. This particular style has 400/170 density, meaning one strip is "400" and the other is "170" which has fewer fastener stems. There is also a "250" density. I wanted something really strong, such as 400/400 but it is not sold that way. I bought this roll and did not use the "170" side. Unlike hook and loop, the "400" side will interlock with other pieces from the same strip of "400". Fastening 400 to one object and 400 to another and then fastening them together makes for a very strong grip. I used that combination to fasten my radar detector to my motorcycle. At speeds over 80mph, it was still "stuck like glue" but could be pulled apart by hand.

This is an awesome product that provides extremely secure anchoring of all sorts of stuff in places and conditions where competitive products either un-stick from the mounting surface (like car windshields) or creep at the tape to tape connection like hook and loop products do. One big undisclosed negative for me, however, is that it is only black on the side where it connects to another piece of tape. The sticky side is white - so it is very visible from the back side when mounted on glass - you might even say ugly.

I love this product and it is soooo much stronger than the hook and loop fastener! The little mushroom heads fit really well together and there is no "fuzz" to catch all kinds of lint! This combination 400/170--one side of the products has 400 heads per inch and the other side has 170. There is a 250/250 combination that is really great too. Do not try to put 400/400 together as the heads are too close together, they tend to break off! Highly recommend for all types of "fastening" jobs, especially when needed in a hot vehicle or where the adhesive will get warm. Description will tell you temperature limits!
