Command(Tm) Clear Medium Refill Strips are an item everyone needs to keep on hand. When different types of wall paint are encountered and the strip fails, what do you do? Throw the whole thing away or referb it with a new strip?

I've purchased A LOT of these since I moved 12 years ago. For those of you who complain when something using Command strips falls off the wall—3M has lately increased the strength of their adhesive b/c merely trying to peel off the removable backings before applying the strips to anything takes noticeably more effort.With that said, my latest use of these strips is to attach the 19 clear little acrylic floating wall shelves— purchased here over the past few months—to the walls above my kitchen counter. No, it doesn't feel claustrophobic because what's on them is also clear—like the Command Caddies to hold odds & ends such as clear zip top plastic bags. I used Command strips rather than make holes in the walls for the shelves' included screws or use their other option—adhesive squares which would likely take the paper off my drywall when it comes time to remove the shelves.Notice how much more is in that workspace than there is in the photo taken 3 months ago with all the glue guns. Thanks to 3M's Command products & Cord-A-Way, which neatly rolls up a cord into a little circular box—but takes real diligence to find here on Amazon—I can fit a tremendous amount in a less-than-3-square-foot-space & work without being snared in a tangle of cords from my guns & my magnifying desk lamp. So I can easily recommend both.

It was exactly as advertised. I think they're a bit expensive, but packaging adds up, I suppose.
