Insert the hard hat slot adapters into the slots on each side of the hard hat until they click into place.

When in use, the attachment arms must be pushed inward until you hear a click on both sides, indicating a shift from “stand-by” to “usage” position. Position the ear cups over your ears so that the cushions fully enclose the ears and seal tightly against the head. Adjust the position of each ear cup while holding the helmet in place until you have a tight and comfortable fit that exerts even pressure around the ears.

Usage position. Make sure the cups and attachment arms are not in contact with the inner lining or the edge of the hard hat when in the “usage” position, otherwise this may lead to leakage.

Love these! They fit nicely on my hardhat - provide adequate hearing protection and are cleaner/more sanitary than using disposable ear plugs. Recommend!

I work in a fiberglass plant and these muffs work so well with my hard hat. They work much better than traditional earplugs, as I can hardly someone is talking to me but can still hear the forklift and such. They’re adjustable and cover my entire ear. Very comfortable and I am able to use my wireless earbuds with them. Great buy.

I purchased these Peltor ear muffs to refurbish my old Peltor logging helmet. Its original muffs, (20+ years old), were missing their ear cups. My helmet is equipped with a debris shield that relies on the original bases as its hinge attachment point. To retain the shield, I simply unscrewed the new muffs from their bases and placed them, (the muffs, new wire slides and circular mounts), directly onto the standoffs of my original bases. I found that the standoffs on both Peltor bases, new and old, were identical in diameter and length, which allowed using the same single screw to secure. My old helmet now blocks harmful sound once again and feels as good as new. 5 out of 5 stars for a fabulous product from Peltor.

Son un poco pesadas después de horas de uso, este modelo en especifico no va con los cascos de ala ancha ya que el ala no permite que se ajusten bien (sello en los oídos). Por lo demás, son de muy buena calidad, se ven estéticos y montados en un casco sin ala logran aislar muy bien el ruido.

These are mounted to my Petzl Vertex helmet, and the decibel reduction rating of the muffs seems to be accurate. I got the yellow model as the higher rated muffs are physically larger. These cancel out enough noise from the wood chipper and chainsaws that I work around to not be a nuisance, but I can still hear relatively well while the muffs are on, which is great! Huge pain to take off of a helmet though:/ if I need another pair of helmet mounted muffs, I’ll likely buy these again. Great price to pay for protective equipment, especially if it’s used daily!

Fit perfectly onto the 3M hard hat. Took a minute to figure out how they snapped on. Provide good noise protection. The muffs retract upward and lock away from the ears when not in use. What I like best, however, is that when they are down and on the ears, they nicely secure the hard hat to the head. I have a pretty big head (almost size 8), and the hard hat's ratcheting band can fit me, but the hat falls off pretty easily when leaning over, picking stuff up, etc. With the muffs down, the hat ain't goin' nowhere! Great for doing chainsaw work when you need good hearing protection and you're moving around a lot.
