Your cart is empty.Build Your Own 3pt Box Blade Plans DIY Garden Box Scraper Tractor Attachment These plans are to make your own 4' box blade. I pull mine behind my garden tractor along our 1/2 mile gravel road a few times a year to get rid of the pot holes. It is also great for contouring your land, to back blade and snow removal. I recommend a 15hp tractor or larger for best results. When you are done building it will weigh around 200 lbs. 4' wide by 23". I will mail you hard copies on 8 1/2 X 11 paper. All plans are designed by Ben Stone. Ben is a retired Engineer in Canada. Ben also drafts these himself using the latest AutoCAD software to ensure accuracy. He studied Engineering back in the early 1980's. After over 30 years in the Construction industry he developed a passion for building cool items around his farm and cabin. These are great DIY projects. With a little skill anybody can Do It Yourself. Ben is always a email away if you have any questions while building one of his projects. He is adding new plans all the time.

Keep in mind that I'm a professional welder with 36 years of experience and own my own business with 15 employees. delandmetalcraft.com. With that said, I fabricated the box blade myself. These prints for the box blade were easy to read and use. All measurements were correct and needed no adjustments. I did take the liberty of sharpening the blades so it would cut through tree and plant roots. I also softened (rounded) all edges with a grinder that an arm, hand or leg could come in contact with to prevent injuries. I've been using it for about a year now and it's taking the abuse very well. I would definitely recommend this set of box blade prints.

I will build a 5' box blade, only 3 or 4 items will need to be modified.

I liked the plans but I ended up with a few modifications. I kept the length at 48" but changed the box length to 16" and used some steel I had on hand. The hitch size I was looking for was a Cat 0, so the pin width and mast height changed. The finished weight is close to the 200lbs estimated. All easy mods. The photo is prior to finishing the scarifiers.

excellent excellent excellent. working from the blueprints was a piece of cake , and i'm just as pleased as punch with a great little implement i'm just getting ready to use putting a crushed asphalt road base down to my horse barn. perfect use for a great design! thanks thanks

The plans are well written and designed. These are not step-by-step instructions but the blueprints, about 8 pages worth.The photographs are not of a box scraper built off these plans. Look at the last picture (the rendering with straight scraper teeth) to see what the final product will look like. However, if you can fabricate, you can probably figure out how to add real teeth to these plans without much trouble.
