I have consistently struggled to find the right tools to mark my fabrics when working on sewing projects. The chalk doesn't stay in place, and the pencil doesn't come off easily. In my last project, I used a pencil and then fused the fabric, not realizing that you could see the pencil lines through the fabric. Thankfully, I was fusing that to a darker fabric that hid the lines. After that, I realized that I needed to figure this out before my next sewing project. When I saw these pens, I knew I had to give them a try. I do not have a project planned, but I did test them out on a black piece of fabric. At first, I wasn't impressed and thought I was doing something wrong as I could barely see the lines, but the card that came with it does say it takes about a minute for the ink to show up. In about 30 seconds, I noticed the lines getting darker and more vibrant, and they did not easily wipe away. I used my iron on the lowest setting, and in mere seconds, the lines disappeared. The package came with four pens and plenty of refills to last a good while if you are an occasional sewer like me. I will now be looking for other colors to use for lighter fabrics.
