I’m using this “PIIYOOSNN 4 Inch Soffit Vent for Exhaust Fan with Built-in Mesh Screen” as a fresh air intake on a ventilated cabinet. For an inside air intake, this fitting is perfect. It fit a standard size hole, looks good, and is easy to clean. The removable screen is a nice feature. It could also be used as an outside air intake, but I’d be concerned about small rodents damaging the plastic screen if they could reach it.The screen is too fine for a dryer outlet vent. It would plug in one run.In my view, a good value.

Tried to separate the flange to access the predrilled holes and it snapped in two places! Mine does NOT come apart so not sure how you are supposed to mount it. Grrrr, ended up chucking it as didn't want to return something I broke.

I recently just finished before the weather got too bad tearing out the old soffit underneath the edging of the roof that was a solid wood that did not allow anything to breathe but it was also a small cross base running from one end of my house to the other. This was a pretty daunting task in order to do this but also at the same time you want to make sure that you do things right. It is natural for one to want to button everything up thinking that you are saving energy but at the same time for the softest area to be able to breathe this will allow heat to escape during the summer time and also the exact opposite in the winter time where you need to be concerned about moisture build up and then in the summer months when it heats up he will then have more of the possibility of mold forming and getting into your house which will affect your health. This 4-in soffit was perfect by placing at the end it came looking very professional and a nice matte black which all I had to do is cut a 4 inch hole circular hole and basically place it in in. This is a unique soffit as once you have placed it in it it will basically snap into place and it will not come back out where you have the obvious usage of screws to place it in so it has a very nice clean finish on the side of my house that I do not have to worry about rusting screw heads or have to clean and whatnot. It also comes with a nice mesh screen in there to prevent any kind of insects or rodents getting in along with a good sturdy frame and the actual vent lose that are strong enough not for an animal to be able to penetrate to get through. This is a great easy product to purchase and is very affordable and if you do not have any vent for ventilation around your house and you knows there are such crawl spaces especially over enclosed overhangs like I have about four of them you need to be concerned about them and again and not new construction all you need to do is just have a drill and the proper round bit 4-in to be able to drill in and again these pop right in very easy to install.

Needed to add to a race car to get some air moved to my face; as the vent was lower than my dashboard. This was easy to install, less than a minute and then BOOM, air movement! Good quality product.

Got this to cover the hole in the wall that I installed a vent to for our laser engraver this goes on easily and looks very nice

Be careful. The plastic is thin and brakes easily.
