How to use Chalk Mountains Natural Waxes

After you have finely sanded and then removed any remains of the sanding process, use a wax brush or soft cloth (old bath towels work best), apply the wax to painted surface in a circular motion, making sure to get an even coat and into the corners and crevices. Let stand for 30-40 minutes and then, using clean dry absorbent cloths, lightly wipe away excess wax from the surface, always folding your cloth so you are using a dry side to remove the excess wax. For larger pieces, you may need more than one dry cloth to effectively remove excess wax. Allow to stand for 12-15 hours. Now, with more dry absorbent cloths, wipe down the surface a second time, to pull off the remaining excess wax. No need to buff our wax. This "All Natural" wax will now dry over the next 2-3 days into a satiny semi-hard surface. Add a second coat in the same steps, if you want to add an extra coat of protection to a wear surface.

if your just getting into waxing your DIYs, this is a great set. you get a good amount of each color and the colors are neutral. these are much cheaper than others I have bought and seem to be of similar quality. very easy to put on and wipe off. if you want to rub less of it off, just apply and let it sit a few min before wiping back. only thing missing is a clear wax.

Love the white but the black will not dry and by the time I’ve wiped off excess there isn’t enough darkness left. But if I dont wipe the wax it never dries or hardens. Piece has been setting 2 weeks and I could still wipe it all off.Haven’t tried the other 2 colors.

I love this wax! I tried another brand after using the chalk mountain and it did not go well. It made me realize how great the CM wax is! Goes on super smooth and it’s soft which makes applying it a lot easier. I also use it a lot by itself because the colored wax leaves the wood looking gorgeous!

Looks great, works great. Easy to apply. Even smells good since made from natural oils. Would buy again.

I found these lamps at a thrift store for $25 and the table for $20 at a yard sale but they were all just so nasty. I knew they had potential. I used a chalk paint from Lowe’s but that wasn’t enough... they needed something more. This wax was just the thing! I bought the 4 pack antique waxes. I used the dark wax on the lamps. On the table I used the grey wax and the white wax. I attempted to distress the table first but I’m not that good at it. I really like this wax. No harsh smells. Very soft wax.

See pictures! I used the Driftwood Gray was on this piece after painting it with a light grey chalk paint. It added depth and deep grey tones in all the right places. The wax is nice and soft and went on very easily. I used a soft blue shop paper towel to rub off the excess and it worked great, no lint. I can’t wait to try out the black and white waxes from Chalk Mountain. I recommend! ( Wish Amazon would fix the issue with pictures showing up sideways! Sorry all!)

This is not my first time using wax, but it was my first time using chalk mountain brushes wax - and I only tried the black. Not really looking forward to trying the others in the set.My piece was prepped properly and really perfect. I followed the directions because they are different from other waxes that I use. The black wax went on very grainy and no matter what type of cloth I used: sock, towel, flannel, t-shirt, sheet - tons of lint ended up on my piece. Five days later, you can't touch it without leaving fingerprints and it's still oily. I live in So Cal, so weather was not an issue. Instead of being the finishing touch, this wax has created a gom that will take hours to redo. What a waste of time and money.

I am new to the furniture recycle business and came across these waxes. The sample kit was perfect and the product are amazing! They go a long way for the price and I like them better than most of the larger retailers I have tried.
