I've had these for about a year. So far, they seem to be working. I haven't noticed any more problems with yellow jackets or other type of bees, wasps, etc.

One year on; They worked to deter the wasps that were building nests where I keep my trash bins under the deck. They are very flimsy, so be careful where you hang them (one got torn up by a storm)

I hate wasp and hornets. And carpenter bees are a nuisance. I bought these in hope of deterring them from my porch. They didn’t work. At all. They just become cool gazebos for the insects. Maybe the bugs here are just super intelligent? Maybe they went to a university? Idk but I wasted my time and money trying to just scare them off. I ended up choosing violence to rid them from my porch. A fly swatter and bee spray worked better than these deterrents. I still have these fake nests. I will try again this coming summer. Maybe I’ll get a dumber generation of bees this year?? I hope so.

Wow! We had a ton of paper wasps, red wasps and other types of wasps last year. My kids wouldn’t go outside for fear of being stung. I put these up in February of this year and now it’s the end of September. We have had much fewer wasps this year!!! Carpenter bees aren’t deterred nor are the smaller solitary wasps, but they don’t bother me as much. However, as others have said, they do fade and get torn up with weather. It did take a hurricane though, and one is still holding on. I’ll be investing in crocheted nests for next year, but these are a cheap way to see if they work for your pests. Recommend!

I have Blink cameras and two of them showed wasps frequenting the areas. I don't want to kill them if I can help it as I know they are pollinators, but I don't want to get stung nor want anyone coming to the front door to get stung. I mentioned it on FaceBook and a former co-worker said she got FAKE WASP NESTS and they worked. First I thought she was joking, but she sent me a pic! I thought ok, I'll try it and guess what? She is right. Wasps are territorial, if there is a wasp nest there they leave. I have had them up for over a month and NO wasps!!! Of course I don't know if it also scares the UPS/FedEx/Amazon drivers, they haven't complained, but then they leave the packages and kind of run. LOL

I have tried so many things to get rid of our wasps. We live in middle TN and there are so many wasps in the summer. Our house is also a light color and we have a lot of wooden outdoor furniture so it is a paper wasp haven. We had wasps constantly on our firewood rack, outdoor furniture, deck and always flying around by our back door. I have tried so many things like mint, different plants, wasp spray and even have sprayed our house. Even still the wasps have stuck around. I saw these on social media and thought it was too good to be true but wanted to give it a shot anyway because I love being outside but hate the wasps...we hung them up in our backyard and I haven't seen a wasp since!!! It feels too good to be true but the wasps are GONE. I wish I bought them sooner. Will be doing this every spring from now on. AMAZING!!

Update July 17, 2024 I've had these up for 2 months now. Zero wasps! So, I heard if you put a fake hornet nest up, the wasps will go away. In researching, I found these on Amazon and decided to give them a try. They're very affordable, and right now I have two of them up hoping to deter the droves of wasps that plague my home and garden as soon as warm weather hits. They're nicely made, and actually look quite pretty, especially in the evening when the light hits them just right. A lot of people in my gardening group talk about fake hornet nests, so there must be something to it. They've been up for a few weeks, and except for an occasional scout - NO WASPS! Usually as soon as the weather warms up I'm plagued with an incessant swarming of the nasty little buggers. I give these two green thumbs up! 😎👍🏻

These wasp decoys are great. We have had problems in the past with wasps on our balcony. We have hung these decoys out already for the year because wasps build their nests in very early spring here. They have been outside now for over a month and show no wear and tear due to the weather. I think they will last the wasp season, and if they don't they are reasonably priced enough that we can replace them during the season if needed.

We were having such a terrible time with wasps. I purchased these in hopes that it would keep them away from the dogs. Now I have them hung up everywhere in the yard that has protection. They are paper, so if they get wet, they will get ruined, but as long as they are protected, they last forever, and it totally took care of the wasp issue

I like these things. They look real. We think they helped (or was it a season change). I found they faded in the sun but maybe that does affect the impact. A windy day tore one apart, but that's not the hive's fault.
