I used these for some thruster mounts on my pedal boat. Zero complaints. I suppose it would be nice if they were pre-tapped for the 8mm screws in each end, but I can see why they avoid this, since many people will end up cutting to length.

I needed two 4040 aluminum extrusion at 4ft in length to support a triple monitor stand that tilt forward due to weight of side monitors. The stand is built on 4080 frames, so 40mm square poles are good. The sticks arrived with good packaging as that is important because these can easily be scratched. The T slots are pretty standard where I can buy standard locking nuts here at Amazon.
