I have been wanting one of these for a while, but didn't want to pay the exorbitant prices I've seen them sold for. I then saw this one available and decided to give it a chance. The build quality is quite impressive! It's machined from a solid slab of aluminum and feels good to hold, and it has good weight to it without being too heavy or too light. Small rubber spacers/feet on the backside are a nice touch as well! I tested it with some random bolts, and the threads are very smooth.This thread checker is nice and compact, easy to handle, and can be stored or hung anywhere without being in the way. Having this on hand will save me a lot of future grief and time, and I believe that this identifier is a must-have for any shop.

This thread checker is well-made and works great. It's easy to use and install. The threads are accurate and very easy to use. The markings are bright and easy to read.

I wanted to find a flaw since I think this didn't need to be so much, or as overbuilt. But really it does metric and standard and perfectly threads the most common sizes easily. I have not heard of F/C to designate thread spans but it works all the same.The actual threads are not easy to strip and the metal plate is going to last through winters and so much more.

What a genius idea -- every time I tried to match a nut/bolt to a drill bit, it would always take multiple times to get the right one. Not any more!

I used to have to run to the local hardware store to get the exact size of the bolt or nut if I was unsure, or just pick up a collection of sizes I think they might be. This saves an extra trip to the hardware store by being able to check the bolt and nut sizes to be sure. That way, I can use my stockpile of extras I have without having to purchase more. It has rubber pads on the bottom, so you can lay it down on your workbench, or you can hang it on the wall, which is my preferred method.

I have the bolt and nut gauges that are individual gauges connected to a wire. Those are nice in tight spaces, but I wanted something that was easy to use and get to when I needed it. Along came the Nivart thread checker. I like that the base is made of thick aluminum and not cheap plastic. It can be hung on a wall or moved to wherever you need it. I haven’t tried all of them yet, but the ones I did are all accurate with the thread patterns. I also like that is has metric and standard threads. The laser markings are easy for me to read even without my glasses. I highly recommend this thread checker to anyone.
