This recoil starter is advertised as being able to fit the Stihl BR430 leaf blower - but it doesn’t.The attachment screw openings don’t match the blower plus the opening for a portion of the starter mechanism is on the wrong side of the recoil housing. (See photo)The clutch itself looks to be adequate for the job so it would likely work on a different Stihl just not this model.

This item was compatible with my Stihl BR430 even it was advertised as such. Had to return the item.

Will not fit a Stihl BR-450 blower. Cut out is in the wrong location.
