I bought adjustable struts for my 4Runner but Bilstein supplied a one-time use locking nut. I replaced the locking nut with a flange nut and used these jam nuts to lock the flange nut in place. These are thin enough to grab all the leftover threads and make a strong safety lock against the main shock nut.

I needed this nut for a leveling spacer on a tire rack to make my spare tire proper looking....
