hook the charcoal filter over the pins that are located at the end of the motor
-
turn the charcoal filter anticlockwise until you feel it click into place
-
repeat this process for the second charcoal filter at either end of the motor

The instruction says you can install it for 9 feet ceiling, however if you follow this instruction you have to install it ridiculously high. Otherwise you need an extension that is not included of course and is not possible to buy. The site provided in the instruction does not have it.Another issue - the drawings in the instructions. It is just not possible to see measurements without magnifying glass - disrespectful for the customer.

I recently purchased this and got it installed. It looks very good but has flaws.Buttons wont change fan speed. All 3 speeds are same.Second it rattles like anything. Very annoying and loud.Very flimsy metal sheets used

I’m very happy with this 30” range hood. We wanted a black range hood to match the new kitchen aesthetics at the cottage… nothing too fancy; however, the fan had to be relatively quiet but still be powerful. I found this range hood provided more than ample suction, though not that much noticeable difference between level 2 & 3, other than an increase in the fan noise. In terms of noise this range hood is surprisingly quiet, especially when compared to the old hood we had, so no complaints there.Interestingly enough…I actually realized that I much prefer the individual button controls on this range compared to the LED display of the range we have at home. Sure it’s not as fancy, but I can instantly select the fan speed without having to keep pressing the fan button until I get to the speed I want, and I can instantly turn it off.Since we were replacing an existing range hood an already had a ceiling opening, the installation was straightforward. We got it up and running with no issues from start to finish on the assembly in just over 1 hour and that was inclusive of removing our old range hood. We were 2 people which made lifting it up and holding it in place easier.Although this is a basic range hood in terms of features, I think it is a very good range hood, especially at this price point. The black finish looks amazing, the buttons are user-friendly for convenience, the exhaust fan is powerful, and the included aluminum filters seem to be top quality.

The operator's manual says this uses a CF-001 filter. It does not. It uses a CF-005. It is a misprint. Be aware of this if you purchase the hood. I followed their information and was frustrated.

All these $150 ‘ish models are exactly the same frame and lights, only difference is maybe the fan motor, the damper and maybe the filters. Some do not include the filters, the “Soonye” did. This one is advertised as 600cfm. I believe this to be somewhat accurate. The fan is extremely powerful on all speed settings.The damper holes did not line up correctly with the holes on the frame, no big deal, had some self tappers on hand for two of the holes.Minus one star for the useless, garbage instructions. I referred to the pictures on Amazon to pretty much figure it out.You will be faced with a catch 22 when attaching the 2 top pieces to the wall the main question will be to remove the blue film before you install or after. If you remove it before then you will risk scratches on the very top piece. I removed the film and used painters tape between the top and bottom to keep the top from falling all the way down and only had a small superficial scratch or two. You’ll know what I’m talking about once you install this. If you remove the film after it will be impossible to remove all of it.Order some stainless steel cleaner, you’ll need it AND wipe with the grain!
